Processes
Industrial Yarns has the capabilities to produce yarns ranging from 500 Decitex to 20,000 Decitex with twist levels from 50 to 300 Turns Per Meter.
The twisted yarn is then wound onto a variety of packages using yarn traverse lengths of 100, 125, 150, 200 and 250mm.
All packages are precision wound and measured length to provide consistent weights for waste minimization.

Typical Hose types that Industrial Yarns supplies yarns to are the Agricultural, Automotive, Fire, Garden, Mining and Pressure Hose manufacturers. Whether the hose are PVC or Rubber, Industrial Yarns can provide the right yarn on a package to suit your machine.
Ropes and Braids
Construction of a braided rope is facilitated by our flexibility in producing a range of yarns in multiples of 1100 Decitex up to 18 ends in both S & Z twists. Polyester has the largest market but other yarns such as polypropylene, Aramid, Cotton and Nylon have their place.
Woven Products
Any yarn that requires twisting and/or winding for further processing can be accommodated.
Industrial Sewing Threads
Industrial Sewing Threads are made from either cotton or spun polyester - each come in a range of plies mainly 6, 8 or 10 ply depending on the application.
Carpets
Carpet Yarn is usually produced on a commission basis where the customer would like colour combinations twisted together to produce the desired result. Minimum orders can be as low as 500kg.

Industrial Yarns is a family owned company established in 1985. The original concept was to be commission processor of industrial filament yarns, which proved to be very successful.
The evolution of the company started in 1993 with the acquisition of new twisting equipment, which opened up a new market for heavy Decitex yarns. Since then Industrial yarns has become a supplier of high tenacity polyester yarns for various end-uses.
Industrial Yarns is based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne in a 1000 square meter factory housing modern equipment to manufacture our yarns with confidence.
