![]() | Thytec Australia Static Inverters are designed with proven PWM technology to meet today's stringent telecommunication markets. This PWM technology employed in the Thytec inverter enables us to connect multiple inverters in parallel, thus providing a greater capacity in output to 20 kVA. |
These systems produce high efficiencies of up to 85% with high MTBF reliability of 60,000 hours, plus. The high efficiency of the Thytec Inverter system offers considerable savings in operating costs. Thytec has designed these inverters and they conform to all DC requirements of ECC Specifications on DC weighted noise.

Computers and other electronic systems are sensitive to AC supply variations which often cause malfunction, component failure or inaccurate data. The supply variations can be voltage or frequency variations, spikes, noise or breaks as short as 10 milliseconds. The solution to all these problems is a Thytec 6000 Series Uninterruptible Power Supply.
Control Panel
The Thytec static UPS system is a self-contained power supply source which provides a no-break, regulated, transient free, sinusoidal AC supply to critical loads. The microprocessor system has been developed with high reliability and low maintainability in mind. The system has been fully designed and manufactured in Australia by Thytec and is of the same high quality and excellent reliability as other Thytec products. Should a sudden overload occur, the UPS will automatically transfer and retransfer the load to and from the bypass line without any interruption of power to the load.

The control panel incorporates advanced microprocessor control of a LED mimic flow panel and large Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The state of the UPS can be determined at a glance while detailed system measurements and alarm histories can be accessed through the MEASURE and HISTORY menus. The large 40 character wide, 2 line display allows comprehensive measurements and alarm messages without the need for confusing code messages.
Simple Push Button Controls
EXTENSIVE DATA MEASUREMENT
Simply accessed with the MEASURE key and SCROLL through the menus.
ALARM MONITORING AND STORAGE
The control panel continually monitors UPS data from various points of the unit, displaying immediately any alarm condition that occurs.
SELF TESTING
When the UPS is switched on, the microprocessor performs diagnostics on all the UPS parameters and alerts you only if there is a fault.
BATTERY
The UPS battery is connected as a buffer, there is no switching of the battery during any operational mode.

20 kVA Single Phase UPS
![]() | Thytec have improved on the standard of the internationally accepted form of power conversion. The Thytec P.W.M. technology offers enhanced performance in a compact and efficient cubicle. Unlike many of the competition, the 2000 Series UPS need not transfer the load to unprotected bypass AC input during start-up. Our design allows the system to handle the high initial surge currents typical of large disc drive loads, and computer power supplies. However, should the UPS transfer to bypass, all Thytec units will automatically retransfer back to the UPS after the overload condition is restored to normal. |
Size of Typical UPS in the 20 kVA range with Battery
| The enormous advances in computer technology have been matched with identical reductions in footprint and power draw. To protect the operator Thytec has inbuilt as standard many safety and access features. The UPS features isolation transformers on both the input and output to isolate the UPS from the mains, pre-condition the incoming AC supply and to prevent accidental discharge of battery DC into the AC supply. | ![]() |
A mechanical maintenance switch is also standard to isolate the total unit from the AC supply to allow computer operation in the event of a fault, requiring service. Lift off access panels, heavy duty castors and bottom or rear cable access complete a safe and fully featured package.

Our State of the Art IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) inverter offers premium performance and efficiency. In conjunction with PowerOn's outstanding control circuitry, the inverter provides clean and pure sinewave power with less than 3% total harmonic distortion under linear load and less than 5% under computer load
Intelligent Battery Monitoring
PowerOn's batteries are tested automatically every two weeks by default or over any other period that is configured using the PowerSmart (tm) software. Once a weak battery is detected, an indicator lights up to remind the user to replace the batteries.
Automatic Static Bypass Switch
PowerOn utilizes a fast and robust hybrid static bypass switch to reliably handle three times rated current. The switch is automatically activated by overload, inverter voltage out of proper range, and high temperature conditions. It can also be manually activated. When conditions return to normal, the bypass switch is automatically deactivated.
