Northcote
Pottery was founded in 1897 by George Westmoreland. Originally
our terracotta pots were fired in a variety of wood burning catenary-arched
down-draught kilns. Only one of these, the Hoffman kiln now remains.
The Hoffman kiln has been lovingly restored and converted into a Potter's
Gallery where visitors can view and purchase works by prominent Australian
potters. Our small pottery business has now grown into Australia's
largest manufacturer and importer of terracotta gardenware. Visit
the factory for pottery supplies, bargain priced seconds terracotta
pots and to see the Manufacturing Process.
