Glass
Fibre Ropes
FGR
Series
of ropes are where possible Australian made and manufactured.
FGR Series of ropes can be
manufactured either by encasing continuous glass fibres in a cover
of open braided glass fibre yarn (FGRS)
or by braiding together three or more yarns
(FGRB). These ropes are ideally suited to applications
where temperatures are high and pressure is low.
FGR Series glass fire ropes, are suited for dry temperatures up
to 550°C continuous.
Applications include:
Pipe lagging - Caulking
for door seals - Jointing for irregular surfaces.
Glass
Fibre Square Braids
FSB
Series of square braids are where possible Australian
made and manufactured.
FSB Series of braids consist
of a braid over core resulting in a solid yet pliable square braid
packing. The fibres used are specially developed for temperatures
up to 550°C and will resist, most oils, chemicals & solvents,
but direct contact with live steam should be avoided unless specially
coated.
FSB Series will not rot and
is unaffected by fungi, bacteria, insects etc.
Applications
include:
Static Dry Seals -
Furnace / Oven / Wood Heater Doors.
Static Wet Seals -
Wood Drying Kilns (steam Heated)**
Shaft Seals - Revolving
Furnace Seals***
