Decals are transfers of images and ornamental designs which are printed onto specially prepared paper and are used to decorate various substrates including glass and ceramics. Decaltech waterslide and heat release decals are manufactured to the highest standards, using state of the art stencil preparation and printing facilities. We run two fully automatic cylinder presses, plus various flat bed machinery. The advantages of decals are: - decals have no limit to the number of colours. We often have decorative ceramic tile designs, and dinnerware patterns requirint 10 colours or more - decals can reproduce four colour process images, resulting in fine detailed photographic reproductions - Decaltech print very fine process work at 120 L.P.I. to 133 L.P.I. for both glass and ceramic decoration ensuring accuracy and guaranteeing the integrity of the smallest details - Decals can be used to decorate complex curves and "difficult" shapes - allowing versatility in application from a flat level tile to a three dimensional object - Decaltech also print heat release transfers - which can be applied at up to 10 per minute with no drying time before firing.
