RANGE OF MATERIALS : AUSTENITIC FLAKE GRAPHITE IRONS (NI RESIST) AND AUSTENITIC SPHEROIDAL GRAPHITE IRONS (SG NI RESIST) This family of cast irons is used mainly for its excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperature oxidation. Applications include pumps for acids, alkalis, sea water and salt solutions. Also, parts that require dimensional stability. "60 YEARS OF NI RESIST PRODUCTION" |
NI HARD IRONS Types 1, 2 and 4 Ni Hard Types 1 and 2 are suited to applications where good abrasion resistance at low impact levels are required. Ni Hard Type 4 is suited to applications where good abrasion resistance at moderate impact levels are required. |
HIGH CHROME IRONS This alloy is suited to applications where both corrosion and abrasion resistance is required. They are also used in high temperature oxidising applications.
CHROME-MOLY IRON This alloy has excellent abrasion resistance and toughness. |
CHROME-MOLY-COPPER IRONS These alloys, similar to chromium-molybdenum iron, have good hardenability which allows the casting of heavy section castings. |
GREY CAST IRONS These irons have high thermal conductivity, low modulus of elasticity and the ability to withstand thermal shock. They also have good machinability and vibration damping properties AUSTEMPERED DUCTILE IRON This alloy is stronger, lighter and more impact and wear resistant than most steels. It is significantly less expensive than most forgings, fabrications and castings |
CASTINGS PRODUCTION Up to 5.5 tonnes of Grey, Ductile and White Irons Up to 2.5 tonnes of Low & Medium Alloy Steels At quantities from individual jobs to thousands on repetition lines. |
